Naturalization Ceremony, September 17



On September 17th the John Hancock Chapter was represented at a Naturalization Ceremony as 51 immigrants took the Oath to become American citizens. Mr. Henry Stobbs, Fr. Michael Brown, and President Steve Bennett represented our chapter. The ceremony was conducted by the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, Western Division, Honorable Darrell A. Clay presiding. The exciting and emotionally moving event was hosted in the McQuade Law Auditorium at the University of Toledo School of Law.


The 51 new citizens came from Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Ghana, Guyana, India, Iraq, Iran, Jamaica, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vietnam. We wish our new neighbors the very best in their new home.
